Alongside bespoke Hydraulic Training we also provide Hose and Fittings Training. As a BFPA approved provider of Hose Assembly training we have delivered a number of courses. Increasingly we are being asked to include training on hoses and hydraulic fittings in the overall hydraulic training.
There are a number of different specifications of hoses and we help those being trained how to select a hose for different applications; knowing the flow dictates the size, then knowledge of the pressure and the application, which then leads to the choice of hose and end fittings.
Safety, when working with hoses is covered and knowing what makes a hose safe is a topic that is covered in all our courses. Using hose burst covers and whipchecks can reduce the risk of injury for those working near a hose failure. Correct selection of the hoses, ferrules and end fittings provide a good start, then it is down to the manufacturing of the hose assembly. A safe hose assembly is the result of a process that ensures quality components are used and an approved manufacturing process is followed.
Identifying hydraulic fittings is a big part of any hose and fittings training. We have boxes of different types of fittings and thread gauges and verniers to measure them. We challenge our trainees to identify the type and size of a range of fittings.
At MGR Fluid Engineering we cover all aspects of a hydraulic systems from design, through to maintenance . Our training courses cover all these subjects, so if you need help with your hydraulics training please give us a call.
