This month we have purchased a licence for Automation Studio (www.famictech.com). Having had this in my previous business I knew about the simulation capability, but now it has cut through views of components which is very useful for training. This will help us improve our training material, enhancing our hydraulics training capability.
In 2026 we will be releasing our new training booklets, which will be given out during our courses. These booklets will cover hydraulic symbols and the components. Also included will be some simple calculations. In the last year we have started our training business and have begun our own courses, alongside those we have delivered for the BFPA.

Hydraulic systems training is important for those operating or maintaining hydraulic systems as understanding the technology also helps to understand the risks better. Hydraulics can be a safe technology, but like every other machine system require maintenance. To maintain a hydraulic system you will need to understand how you shut down the system and depressurise it.
