Hydraulic Test Rig Internals
In 2007 Mike Retford set up a hydraulic engineering business (MGR Fluid Power) to help customers with their hydraulic systems problems. Initially customers such as Cullum Detuners and BAE systems needed help with commissioning an aero engine test bed and BAE systems needed help with their military vehicle field trials.
The business grew, adding servicing and manufacturing to its product portfolio. Major customers such as Meggitt and Wilton Engineering Services entrusted us with their business
Today Mike provides a hydraulic system design and solutions service. A lot of systems are running poorly and inefficiently, are not maintained and a lot have no documentation; this is where we can help. We look to provide solutions to your hydraulic system problems.
Training engineering teams in how their fluid systems operate improves safety, understanding of the system operation and first line fault finding . NEW - BFPA approved Hydraulics Levels 1 & 2, Hose Assembly and Hydrostatic Proof Pressure Testing Training available through MGR Hydraulic Training Courses.
We are an independent business  focussed on solving hydraulic problems and developing knowldege in hydraulic systems design for the people we train.
Instrumentation
Digital pressure switches for hydraulic systems.

We luckily had Mike as Operations Director where we succeeded in growing the business in areas where we had previously passed by adding his technical, no fuss approach.

Our business learnt from his skills to independently design hydraulic systems, providing schematics and bills of materials.

Key attributes were on site services - fault finding, focussing on the root cause, advice of maintenance and provision of documentation such as Written Schemes of Examination for Accumulators.
